Wisdom calls aloud in the street, she raises her voice in the public squares; She calls to the crowds along the main street, to those gathered in front of the city gate: how long will you love childishness, and the unwise hate knowledge?

WHY SO MUCH HATRED ?

A STRANGE CASE

There’s this girl that always provokes me!
Ok let’s talk again!
What makes people hate other people so much that they not only want to kill them but they want to see them suffer? Even when they don’t know each other personally?
I’m talking about the hatred Nazis had for Jews!
A girl asked if we were able to kill Hitler in order to save millions of lives would justify our did (the killing).
Trust me it’s very hard to answer! My answer has nothing to do with feelings but with what is just!
No matter what I feel about this person, I know very well that he wasn’t totally responsible of what happened over there. Everybody who know the story well can understand that what happened by Nazis motivated by a very dark evil! What happened over there wasn’t a simple reaction of human hatred! 1940’s wasn’t the first time that Jews tasted hatred in the form of violence. There are many, so many that you will lose the count.
Instead of thinking and answering about ifs and supposes, how about thinking and answering the question why!
Why so much hatred around centuries against Jews?

A JEWISH STORY

Allow me to tell you a Jewish story now that I’m sure you all heard but you haven’t seen from this point of view. The story takes us 3500 years back. At that time you could search all the earth but you couldn’t find a dissent, honest person, except one: Job. He use to live somewhere close to the present north Arabia. Well this fellow was a prosperous man and although he had power he never mistreated the little and the poor, but above all he was a God fearing person. One day one of his servants comes in a hurry and says “your flocks are taken from you by thieves and you became a poor man now”. At the same time another of his servants comes to say that “there has been an earthquake and all of your children died”. You can imagine the grief of that man, but he never said anything bad against God. A few days later he gets ill with his skin full of blisters, his wife damps him and some “friends” comes to “comfort” him. This story is just a “miniature story” that shows the problems that someone has to face if he believes in the true God, the God of the Jews. The thing you don’t know is that Job wasn’t a Jew, he was a gentile but he shared the same beliefs. And if this story has been kept for so many centuries is because of the message that has to teach. And the message is: if you choose to be with God, God might bless you but you surely will obtain an eternal enemy, God’s enemy, Satan or the thing I call “dark evil”.

A PARADOX

who is the most beloved person of all times?
Isn’t a Jew, Jesus of Nazareth?
What makes him different from his fellow patriots? Why people from all nations love him to death although he never left Israel, his country?
In order to answer to that and all the previous questions its essential to understand what makes someone Jewish!
According to the tradition Jew is the one who has Jewish parents or the one who converts to Judaism-to the Jewish religion. For me the reason is one for someone to be Jewish: to be under the law of the covenant! and this covers everything, because as a Jewish the law of the covenant applies to you by birth and as a gentile the covenant applies to you if you’ll accept it.

SEVERALTY - THE PHENOMENAL SUSPECT

2000 years ago something terrible happened. Something that can be compared with the incidents of 1940, but only this time it happened in Jerusalem. Josephus together with other historians tells the story, but his view is far more important to us because he lived both as a Jewish zealot and as a roman ethnic. All though many (some of his later wives included) think of him as a traitor he has a high place in my regard. He saw the opportunity and took it. He later helped in a way no one else could! Yes sometimes a living Dog is better than a dead Lion.
I talked about Josephus because he tried to show to the full of demonophobia Romans a whole new understanding of the world. Of course no one could understand him. They had their wine fests, their after dark parties, lots of drinks, lots of sex… everything for luxury and self pleasure… who will listen about clarity, morality, respect, simple life focalized around family? That was the Jewish culture all about! Do you think there were people who could understand him?
Yes there were some people!
After the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem, the typical part of the Jewish religion gone, and Jews left with only the Law. Before 70 AD, before anything bad happen, the Jewish faith and culture started spreading around the Mediterranean Sea through a Jewish sect called “the way” and later Christianity.
This Jewish sect took out the typical part but kept the central idea of the Messianic hope. In the beginning both Jews and Christians were under persecution until Christianity became the favorite religion of the Roman Empire.
Both Christians and Jews were persecuted for the same reason: severalty!
In later years Christians became very powerful… Jews too…
But both couldn’t see that in order to become strong you have to sacrifice parts of you and your beliefs. So we ended up having people who shared the same hope, the messianic hope, becoming strong enemies. Whose fault was that?
“Dark evil” won once again!

INVOLUNTARY END

Forgive me but I have to stop this post and it’s a pity because I know a lot of details about the matter. The reason is that I feel that I make sad the people I love so much. But I will say this… before this little girl provokes me I had a lot of negative energy about certain people… now that I talked in public I feel free and so peaceful. Answering the question: would you be killing Hitler if you could, made me a lot of good. I saw that I can’t be violent even if I want to. No! I’m not a superman, but I know things you don’t, because I believe things you don’t. I feel so peaceful and I can even forgive because I share the same beliefs with Job that I mentioned earlier who said “If a man dies, will he live again? All the days of my struggle I will wait until my change comes. You will call, and I will answer You; You will long for the work of Your hands.” Yes I can move forward because I strongly believe that a day will come that I will see and hug all these millions of Jews who died there, many of them were my fellow patriots from Thessaloníki.
